Beerfest Weekend - April 3, 4
Strap on your leiderhosen and get ready for a boozy brouhaha you won’t soon forget. The Wurst King is visiting Heyford, and he’s tapping kegs and slinging sausages in equal measure. This brand new themed weekend celebrates olde-world Bavarian culture with beer, food, and merriment.
Swashbuckler Weekend - April 10, 11
Calling all Seadogs, Swashbucklers, and Sailors. This weekend only Het Majesty will grant amnesty to all rule breaking ruffians and grace upon them Letters of Marque for the war with Philip of Spain. Enjoy a special sea shanty sing-along once a day, or a dramatic reenactment of the Spanish Armada in a very tiny size.
Bacchanal Weekend - April 17, 18
What is Her Majesty thinking about? Why, Rome, of course! Wrap yourself in your favorite Toga and prepare to celebrate the fruits of Bacchus. Wine, song, and dance fill the Shire of Heyford for this Greco-Roman celebration.
Gnomecore Weekend - April 24, 25
We say farewell for the season with a spectacular adventure filled with whimsy and Dress in your best pointy hat, and prepare for a fantastic journey over the garden wall where the grass is green and the tea parties have mushroom chairs.
Welcome to the Shire of Heyford!
As winter yields to spring and the days grow longer and hotter, the royal custom is to flee the heat of London and enjoy a relaxing progress through the English Countryside.
It is here that we find ourselves in the Shire of Heyford. The year is 1593, and Queen Elizabeth Regina Gloriana is arrived for a grand celebration to ease the burden of state that rests so heavily on her great shoulders.
As has quick become tradition, Her Majesty hath demanded a command performance from her new favorite playwright, Master William Shakespeare. Drunk off the success of his newest piece “Much Ado About Nothing”, a play which he debuted in our fair shire last season, The Bard of Avon promises a new work of blood, vengeance, and madness – and it seems his promises shall bear fruit, rotten though it may be. His own actors have become so leery of this work that they claim the play itself is cursed, and they refuse to even whisper the name of the play itself, opting to call it only “The Scottish Play”. Could this mad and dreary work of drama truly be cursed? The answer to that lies in the hearts and minds of those theatergoers brave enough to see it.
Of course, the play isn’t the only thing. Each villager, cook, entertainer, artisan, and courtier has a story to tell, wares to peddle, and feasts to cook. The only problem for you, dear traveller, is that one day is simply not enough time to experience all there is to offer!

Juicy Turkey Leggs, Ice Cold Ale, and Enourmous Baked Potatoes await the hungry traveller. Wee Nippers can enjoy family-priced Hot Dogs and Hamburgers. Between feasts, a Handmade Boba Tea, Warm Pretzel, and Italian Ice will tempt and tease the senses.
Entertainment
Jesters, Jugglers, and Jousters all await the Queen’s visit to delight with their skills. World-Class entertainers from around the globe have travelled to the Shire of Heyford for a chance to amaze Her Majesty and her guests. Bagpipers, Fiddlers, and Dancers promise to enchant the visiting traveller.
